THE STORY “Rock And Roll Love Affair” was released as a standalone single on Purple Music in late 2012, well before its inclusion on the 2015 album HitNRun Phase Two. It premiered on US radio (iHeartRadio) on September 17, 2012, coinciding with Prince’s appearance on The View. The single received strong promotional support and was made available to retailers on November 26, 2012.
CONTEXT & NOTES This CD single focuses exclusively on remixes by Swiss producer Jamie Lewis. It is considered the second single from the HitNRun Phase Two project in retrospect. The release was part of Prince’s renewed collaboration with Purple Music following “Screwdriver.”
