The track was initially available for download from Prince’s 3rdEyeGirl.com website.

Earlier, it was streamed on the 3rd Eye Girl YouTube channel and as an audio-only track on Minnesota public radio station The Current’s website, after being sent to two fans (Jester Jenkins and JAK3vision) the previous evening for them to premiere on their YouTube channels.

Jester Jenkins, who shared a download link for the track in the comments of his video instead of just streaming it, was asked to remove it and announced that the track would soon be available on 3rdEyeGirl.com.

The track’s lead vocals are performed by Hannah Ford, Donna Grantis, and Ida Nielsen. The lyrics were written by Liv Warfield, and the music was composed by Prince, who also provides background vocals. It is assumed that Prince produced the track, although this has not been confirmed.

While the exact recording dates are unknown, it is believed the track was recorded in late 2012 or early 2013 at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota.

The 3rd Eye Girl social media channels displayed a still image from a promotional video for the track on January 30, 2013, suggesting a video was recorded for the track around that time.

On January 17, 2013, a 0:52 commercial for the song was posted on the 3rd Eye Girl Twitter account, promoting the track and its video as "COMING IN FEBRUARY...".

It is unclear if this song was intended for a specific project, and although the name was used for the Live Out Loud Tour in Canada and the USA in April - May 2013, the song was neither used to promote that tour nor played live.
