Eric Leeds was Prince’s definitive sax voice, shaping the sleek, jazz‑infused edge of the mid‑’80s and NPG eras. Introduced during Purple Rain sessions and rising to prominence on The Family and Parade, he became central to the Paisley Park sound. His sharp, melodic lines powered Madhouse, the Sign O’ the Times band, and countless studio sessions, making him one of Prince’s most essential collaborators.
