THE STORY

On 31 August 2009, exactly one week before the European release of MPLSound, Prince released “Dance 4 Me” as a digital single in France. At the same time, this physical promo CD was sent to French radio stations, featuring a specially edited “Radio Edit” version. The CD came in a standard jewel case with the striking MPLSound artwork and a white circular sticker on the front and back clearly marking it as the “Radio Edit”.

CONTEXT & NOTES

This was the only physical promo CD issued for “Dance 4 Me” in 2009. It was a low-key but targeted promotional tool for French radio. The radio edit has never been officially released on any commercial format outside of this promo CD.
