THE STORY
“Rock And Roll Love Affair” was issued as a standalone single on Purple Music in November 2012, months before its later inclusion on HitNRun Phase Two (2015). This picture disc 12" version showcases the striking portrait artwork and contains key remixes by Jamie Lewis, complementing the CD single release (PMC03).
CONTEXT & NOTES
The picture disc format features the full iconic cover image of Prince with microphone and sunglasses across the vinyl. It was part of Prince’s collaboration with the Swiss label for targeted European promotion and radio play. In retrospect, it is considered one of the early singles from the HitNRun Phase Two era.
