THE STORY

A playful, narrative-driven album filled with skits, segues, and high-energy funk. It blends party anthems, social commentary, and psychedelic moments. Standouts include the hit “Get Wild,” the groovy “The Good Life,” the epic title track “The Exodus Has Begun,” and the infectious “Big Fun.”

CONTEXT & NOTES

Recorded at Paisley Park between May 1994 and January 1995. This album marked a more collaborative band effort compared to the previous Gold Nigga. It was promoted during Prince’s The Ultimate Live Experience tour, with several tracks performed live. The album reached No. 11 on the UK Albums Chart.
