Event:   Glam Slam Ulysses was a 1993 stage production loosely inspired by Homer’s Odyssey. Combining live performance and video, it was advertised as “The Homer‑Erotic Odyssey of Ulysses and His Gang, ‘Strays of the World’, Through the Universe of Glam Slam,” presented in “Glam‑o‑Rama” and featuring “13 new songs.”

Each song represented an episode or theme from Homer’s epic.

The production premiered on 21 August 1993 at Glam Slam, Los Angeles, California, with a capacity of 400 people per performance. Tickets cost $19.99 for evening shows and $15.00 for Sunday matinees. Starring Carmen Electra as both Penelope and Calypso, the show ran until 4 September 1993. Frank Williams performed the male lead, with Jamie King providing choreography. Although Prince did not appear, all music was composed and performed by him.

The production was expected to tour the United States but was discontinued after unfavourable reviews.
