Bamboozled is the soundtrack album accompanying Spike Lee's 2000 film Bamboozled. Released by Motown Records, the collection brings together recordings by a diverse range of artists including Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu, Angie Stone, Chuck D, Common and Prince.
The album is particularly significant within Prince's discography as it contains 2045: Radical Man, marking the first appearance of a newly recorded track credited to Prince following his return to using the Prince name in May 2000.

RECORDING
Prince's contribution, 2045: Radical Man, was recorded at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota.
The track had originally been intended for inclusion on the New Power Generation project Peace before being selected for the soundtrack album.
The soundtrack was assembled under the supervision of executive producers Kedar Massenburg, L. Londell McMillan and Spike Lee.
STYLE & THEMES
The soundtrack blends hip-hop, R&B, soul, spoken word and funk, reflecting the themes explored throughout Spike Lee's film.

RELEASE HISTORY
Released on September 26, 2000 through Motown Records, Bamboozled was issued simultaneously on compact disc and cassette formats.
Three promotional singles were issued from the soundtrack: Blak Iz Blak, Misrepresented People and Charli.
The album achieved modest chart success, reaching number 69 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
