The Time was the first album by The Time. Recorded at Prince’s Kiowa Trail Home Studio in April 1981 (with one track from earlier sessions). Released just weeks after the single “Get It Up”, this self-titled debut album introduced The Time as a key part of Prince’s expanding Minneapolis Sound universe.
