THE STORY

Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic is Prince O(+>’s 23rd studio album and his only release on Arista Records. It marked an attempt at a more commercial sound with high-profile guest appearances while retaining Prince’s signature funk and rock elements. The album was later complemented by the remix companion piece Rave In2 The Joy Fantastic.

CONTEXT & NOTES 

This 2019 limited edition reissue is pressed on purple marbled vinyl and includes a download card. It features the iconic cover artwork with Prince in a blue outfit and continues the visual theme of the original release. Part of The Prince Estate’s ongoing vinyl reissue campaign.
