The set blends material from The Rainbow Children and One Nite Alone... with classics spanning Prince’s career, highlighted by extended versions and powerful performances such as “Xenophobia,” “Anna Stesia,” and “The Everlasting Now.”

CONTEXT & NOTES

This was Prince’s first official live album and the main commercial release from the intimate One Nite Alone... Tour. The 3CD box set also included One Nite Alone... The Aftershow: It Ain’t Over! (and often a copy of the studio One Nite Alone... for club members). The recordings were taken directly from the soundboard by longtime engineer Scottie Baldwin. A 2020 vinyl reissue and box set followed.
