THE STORY Recorded live on June 18, 2002 at the Centre Molson – Hémicycle in Montreal during the One Nite Alone… Tour, “Days Of Wild” was captured directly from the mix console by Prince’s longtime sound engineer Scottie Baldwin. The first edition — a one-track CD single — was given exclusively to attendees of the Xenophobia Celebration on June 27, 2002, just nine days after the performance. A wider three-track edition followed on August 27, 2002, available via mail-order and at shows.

CONTEXT & NOTES This release is often referred to as Days Of Wild (Live in Montreal) for clarity. Although a different live version had appeared on Crystal Ball, this Montreal recording is prized for its raw energy and immediacy. The single is credited to Prince & The NPG, marking the first co-credit with the band since 1993. It was not included on One Nite Alone… Live!, making it a sought-after live document from the tour.
