THE STORY

“Fury” was the third and final single released from Prince’s 31st album 3121. It served as the second single in the UK and Europe (where “Te Amo Corazón” was never released as a single). The B-side features a live medley of “Te Amo Corazón” and “Fury” recorded at the 2006 BRIT Awards at Earls Court 2, London. The full medley originally included “Let’s Go Crazy” and “Purple Rain”, but these sections appear to have been edited out to keep promotion focused on the 3121 album. Promotional copies of the single also contained the track “Love”.

CONTEXT & NOTES

This eye-catching picture disc carries striking artwork: a large “FURY” logo in bold black letters over a flaming guitar, Prince’s face visible in the design, and “PRINCE” in yellow lettering at the bottom. The single had modest commercial impact in Europe, failing to reach the Top 50 in the UK, Netherlands, or Switzerland. It was issued as a limited picture-disc edition in the UK only.
