THE STORY
“Chelsea Rodgers” was issued as a promotional CD single in the USA in August 6, 2007. It was the only physical single format made available in the United States from the Planet Earth album (the commercial single “Guitar” was not released there). The CD came in a plain black cardboard sleeve with white text and featured both “Chelsea Rodgers” and “Mr. Goodnight”. It was sent to radio and industry professionals ahead of the album’s US release on 24 July 2007.
CONTEXT & NOTES
This promo CD was part of a limited US promotional campaign. The single did not chart. The cardboard sleeve design is minimalist, typical of many Columbia promotional releases from this period.
