Prince's Epic Minneapolis Funk Reissue

Released worldwide (excluding the US) as a digitally remastered single on July 4, 2025, by Warner Records (catalog number none), Prince’s “America (12" Version)” revives the extended 21:41 cut from the 1985 Around the World in a Day era. Originally credited to Prince and The Revolution, this high-resolution WAV file (24-bit / 44.1 kHz) brings back the sprawling, politically charged funk opus that was a staple of Prince’s mid-’80s live shows and radio edits.

The single was reissued in conjunction with the 40th anniversary of the album's original release in 1985, an a forerunner to the Around The World In A Day: The Singles Vinyl Box Set.
