The Good Life was the second single to be released from the album Exodus (first in the USA, where the album was ultimately not released), by The New Power Generation, in North America, United Kingdom, and Europe. The single was re-released in the UK in 1997, following the Platinum People Mix receiving a lot of airplay on Rock FM 97.4, a radio station in the north-west of England. The US edition contained some of the Get Wild remixes included on the UK/European editions of the Get Wild single, which had not previously been released there. The single did not enter the charts in the USA, but reached position 29 in the UK singles chart, It fared better when it was re-released in 1997, reaching number 15.
