Timeless, a 10-track compilation featuring rare and previously unreleased studio recordings from Prince’s legendary Paisley Park Vault, will be released on 28 August 2026 via Sony.
Spanning nearly four decades of Prince’s career (1977–2016), the collection brings together tracks that have remained hidden until now, offering fresh insight into his creative process across different eras.
Highlighted Tracks:
"I Am You" – A home recording from 1978, performed live only twice in early 1979.
"Tick Tick Bang" – An unreleased 1981 version (later reworked for Graffiti Bridge).
"Heaven" – Recorded in 1985, previously unissued.
"I Wonder" – Recorded in 1989, also previously unreleased.
"Stone" – 1995 recording, at one point considered for Emancipation.
"The Guilty Ones" – A more recent unreleased track from 2007.
"With This Tear" – The 1991 recording made available digitally in 2026 for the 10th anniversary of Prince’s death.
"How Come You Don’t Call Me Anymore" (Live) – A live version of the classic 1999 B-side.
Other tracks include "Calabama" and "Bestest Friend".
The audio has been meticulously mastered (and in many cases newly mixed) by Chris James, the Grammy-nominated engineer who has worked on recent Prince Atmos mixes and is now regarded as a trusted custodian of the Prince catalog.
Release Formats:
Vinyl LP (12" black vinyl)
CD edition
Timeless arrives as a carefully curated snapshot of Prince’s boundless creativity — from intimate early demos to later-period gems.
This is shaping up to be one of the most exciting Prince archival releases in recent years.
