Prince (October 26, 2026) – NEWS: 3121 (Deluxe) Appears on Tower Records Ahead of Official Announcement
An intriguing new Prince release has appeared without advance announcement on the Tower Records Ireland website. Listed simply as 3121 (Deluxe) under Sony Music CMG, the retailer entry shows two substantial configurations, Double CD + Blu-ray and Triple Vinyl + Blu-ray. At present there has been no official announcement from the Prince Estate or Sony/Legacy, meaning the contents and final status of this potentially significant release remain unconfirmed.
Artist: Prince
Title Listed: 3121 (Deluxe)
Listing: Tower Records Ireland
Label Listed: Sony Music CMG
Status: Retailer listing; no official Prince Estate or Sony/Legacy announcement currently identified
Prospective Release Date Listed: December 4, 2026
THE NEWS
A previously unannounced Prince title called 3121 (Deluxe) has appeared as a pre-order listing through Tower Records Ireland.
The listing is particularly notable because of the configurations shown. Rather than appearing as a straightforward reissue of the original album, Tower Records lists packages containing both audio discs and a Blu-ray.
The configurations currently shown are:
Double CD + Blu-ray
Triple Vinyl + Blu-ray
The Tower Records screenshot identifies the product under Sony Music CMG.
The screenshot also shows the Double CD + Blu-ray configuration at €27.99, with the listing marked “SOLD OUT” at the time the image was captured.
NO OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT YET
The most important point at this stage is that 3121 (Deluxe) has not yet been officially announced by the Prince Estate or Sony/Legacy in the information currently available.
For that reason, the Tower Records appearance should presently be treated as an early retailer listing rather than confirmation of the complete release details.
No final artwork or complete track listing has been established from the supplied Tower Records screenshot.
The exact contents of the Blu-ray are also not stated in the retailer information currently available.
CURRENTLY LISTED FORMATS
Format | Details Currently Shown |
CD | Double CD + Blu-ray |
Vinyl | Triple Vinyl + Blu-ray |
The Tower Records screenshot displays the Double CD + Blu-ray edition at €27.99.
THE 3121 CONNECTION
The retailer listing arrives during the twentieth-anniversary year of Prince's 3121 album.
However, the title 3121 (Deluxe) alone does not establish exactly what material the package contains.
The inclusion of a Blu-ray alongside both listed audio configurations makes the entry particularly interesting, but until official information appears, the contents should not be assumed.
3121 LAS VEGAS LIVE
There is, however, a separately confirmed Prince release connected with the same era.
3121 Las Vegas Live has been announced for Record Store Day Black Friday on November 27, 2026. Retailer information describes a concert recorded on January 20, 2007 during Prince's Per4ming Live @ 3121 Las Vegas residency.
The announced editions are a 3LP Crystal Blue Curaçao vinyl set and a 2CD edition.
The catalogue numbers reported for that confirmed release and the unannounced Deluxe listing appear related, which has prompted speculation that the two projects may be connected.
However, that relationship has not been officially confirmed, so it should remain speculation rather than being presented as part of the confirmed contents of 3121 (Deluxe).
WHAT WE KNOW
• Tower Records Ireland has listed Prince - 3121 (Deluxe)
• Sony Music CMG is identified on the retailer listing
• Two configurations are shown: Double CD + Blu-ray and Triple Vinyl + Blu-ray
• A prospective release date of December 4, 2026 has been reported from the retailer listing
• The supplied screenshot shows the Double CD + Blu-ray configuration priced at €27.99 and marked Sold Out
• No official Prince Estate or Sony/Legacy announcement for 3121 (Deluxe) has yet been identified
• The contents of the Blu-ray and the complete audio track listing are not yet confirmed
WHAT REMAINS UNKNOWN
At present there is no confirmed information supplied for:
• Complete CD track listing
• Complete vinyl track listing
• Blu-ray contents
• Final artwork
• Whether 3121 (Deluxe) is directly connected with the separately announced 3121 Las Vegas Live
• Whether the retailer title 3121 (Deluxe) is the final official release title
Until official details appear, those elements should remain open rather than being reconstructed from speculation.
CONTEXT AND NOTES
Early retailer listings can occasionally appear before a formal release announcement, and this appears to be such a case.
The sensible approach for the Chronicle is therefore to preserve September 21, 2026 as the date on which the Tower Records listing was documented, while clearly distinguishing retailer information from anything subsequently confirmed by the Prince Estate or Sony/Legacy.
If an official announcement follows, this Chronicle can then be updated with the confirmed title, artwork, catalogue numbers, track listing, Blu-ray contents and full format breakdown
