THE STORY
The second single from Prince’s debut album For You, “Just As Long As We’re Together” was released exclusively in the US market. It features a special 3:25 edit unique to this single release. The B-side “In Love” was taken directly from the album. Promotional versions included mono/stereo edits on 7" and a rare extended disco mix on 12".

CONTEXT & NOTES
Released during the promotional campaign for For You, this single highlighted Prince’s emerging self-contained genius as a 20-year-old multi-instrumentalist, writer, and producer. While it performed modestly on the charts, the promotional 12" disco mix is now highly sought after by collectors as one of the earliest examples of Prince experimenting with extended mixes.
