THE STORY
Remastered at Paisley Park Studios in 2015 under Prince’s supervision, this expanded edition adds a wealth of unreleased material from the Purple Rain era, including vault tracks recorded between April 1983 and September 1984, plus the complete live show from the Carrier Dome on March 30, 1985.


CONTEXT & NOTES
Purple Rain remains Prince’s most iconic album and the soundtrack to his breakthrough film. The Deluxe Expanded Edition corrects some historical inaccuracies in track dating and provides fans with deep insight into the creative process. The June 23, 2017 release was a major posthumous celebration of Prince’s masterpiece.
