THE STORY

“Delirious” was released as the third single from the 1999 album in August 1983, nearly a year after the album dropped. The up-tempo funk track became another hit, showcasing Prince’s signature Minneapolis Sound. The non-album B-side “Horny Toad” was previously unreleased at the time. The single was issued with a special fold-out poster sleeve that included a full-size pin-up and a 1982/1999 calendar.

CONTEXT & NOTES

This pressing features the iconic purple raincoat cover photo. The A-side label has a misprinted duration (3:56 instead of the actual single edit length). The 12-panel poster sleeve is highly sought after by collectors.
