THE STORY
The video was filmed at Paisley Park Studios parking garage and Prince’s home. It features Prince along with actress Troy Beyer and was produced by Rob Borm. The home video includes two unlisted promotional advertisements at the end. The short movie was later edited for inclusion on the 3 Chains O’ Gold video collection.
CONTEXT & NOTES
This video single was released to support the Sexy M.F. single and the Love Symbol Album era. Two notable covers exist: the commercial purple cover featuring Prince’s close-up with the pink “Sexy M.F.” logo, and a promo variant with a solid blue design and the “M” symbol. It reached the top of the Billboard music video charts and earned Gold certification from the RIAA. The release was VHS-only.
