THE STORY

A diverse soundtrack reflecting the glamorous and chaotic world of high fashion. Prince’s contribution, Get Wild by the New Power Generation, is a high-energy funk track that also appeared (in a slightly different mix) on the NPG’s album Exodus a few months later.

CONTEXT & NOTES

Prince contributed one new recording to the project. The album was released around the same time as the film and served as promotion for the upcoming NPG album Exodus. Get Wild was issued as a promotional single in the USA. This marks one of the few times Prince appeared on a major multi-artist soundtrack alongside acts like Janet Jackson, U2, and The Rolling Stones.
