THE STORY

“100 MPH” was released three months after the parent album. The single version features a unique edit not available elsewhere.

The B-side “Don’t Leave Me Baby” is a previously unreleased track that does not involve Prince. Produced and arranged by Brown Mark, with co-production by David Z.

CONTEXT & NOTES 

This release highlights the strong Paisley Park family connection, with Mazarati being one of the label’s early acts. The song’s funk-rock energy and Prince’s behind-the-scenes involvement helped it perform well on the Black Singles and Dance charts.
