THE STORY

Blood Brothers is a Japan-only promotional/commercial single released by Earth, Wind & Fire in 1994. It is notable for containing the exclusive “Long Version” of “Super Hero,” a track written by Prince (credited as Paisley Park) and originally recorded by the group for the Super Hero soundtrack and their 1993 album Millennium.

CONTEXT & NOTES

This release highlights Japan’s common practice in the 1990s of issuing exclusive mixes and extended versions not available elsewhere. The long version of “Super Hero” remains unique to this Japanese CD single and has never been reissued on any other format or compilation.
