 This UK 7" single was released in a generic Warner Bros. company bag. It entered the UK Singles Chart on 19 January 1980, peaking at No. 41 and spending 3 weeks on the chart. A contemporary review in Blues & Soul magazine (issue 293, 18 Dec 1979) gave it a strong rating of 5, praising Prince’s multi-instrumental talent and describing the song as a fine example of contemporary soul with convincing falsetto and danceable backing..
