THE STORY 

Prince contributed significantly to the album: he co-wrote “Qualified” with Kirk Johnson and a new version of “Sex” with Levi Seacer Jr., and appears uncredited as a musician on “I Oh I” and “Crying,” for which he also served as executive producer. The album was recorded in part at Paisley Park Studios in early 1992.

CONTEXT & NOTES 

Precious reached No. 13 on the Dutch album chart but had limited success in the US. The June 22, 1992 US release featured a slightly different track order and the addition of “I Wanna Be.” Prince’s involvement stemmed from Loïs Lane opening for him on the Nude Tour.
