Recorded at Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, Minnesota, in 2005–2006, the EP was co-written and produced by Prince, who featured heavily on instruments (guitar, keyboards, bass, drums). The tracks, identical to those on the aborted Milk & Honey album, blended R&B, soul, and funk, with “Holy Ground” exploring faith, “Sunday In The Park” evoking serene reflection, and “All Want Is U” a yearning ballad.

The EP was a standalone digital release, not tied to an album at the time, though tracks were intended for Milk & Honey, originally titled Beautiful, Loved & Blessed after a Grammy-nominated collaboration with Prince on his 2006 album 3121.
