A remix‑companion project to Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic, reshaping the material into a deeper, more club‑leaning, NPG‑era sound palette. Issued directly to NPG Music Club members, it stands as one of the most exclusive releases of the era.
Released on April 30, 2001 (first shipments to NPG Music Club members) by NPG Records (no catalogue number), the album functioned as a re‑imagining of Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic. Produced by The Artist (Formerly Known As Prince), it presented remixes, extended versions, and alternate takes. As a mail‑order‑only release, it was not eligible for charts.

🟣 The Story
Rave In2 The Joy Fantastic was created as a companion remix album to Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic, reshaping the original material into alternate forms. Five tracks were fully remixed with new musical elements; four were extended versions of the originals; and several tracks were carried over unchanged except for structural edits.
The album was distributed exclusively to premium members of the NPG Music Club, making it one of the most limited‑access releases of the era. Its structure mirrors the parent album but removes two tracks (“Everyday Is A Winding Road” and “Strange But True”) and adds “Beautiful Strange,” previously issued only on home video.
Because it was available only by mail order, the album did not qualify for chart placement. In 2019, the Prince Estate and Sony Legacy reissued the album alongside Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic and the Rave Un2 The Year 2000 DVD in the Ultimate Rave box set.
