Released on April 10 1989, “Lolly Lolly” became the second single from Wendy & Lisa’s Fruit At The Bottom. Issued exclusively in the UK and Europe, the single centred on a new Prince‑created remix — “Lolly Lolly (According To Prince)” — which did not appear on the album. Multiple formats were issued, each containing unique mixes, edits, and promotional configurations.

🟣 The Story

Five weeks after the release of Fruit At The Bottom, Wendy & Lisa issued “Lolly Lolly” as the album’s second single. Although the album version did not involve Prince, the single rollout was built around his remix, “Lolly Lolly (According To Prince).” The B‑side, “Hip Hop Love,” was previously unreleased. The single reached No. 64 on the UK Gallup Singles Chart and became one of the duo’s most format‑diverse releases of the era.
