HITnRUN Phase I & II Vinyl Singles: 2026

To mark the 10th anniversary of Prince's passing, German magazines Rolling Stone (dated 02/2026) and Musikexpress (dated 03/2026) have partnered for an exclusive collaboration. They are releasing two world-exclusive 7-inch vinyl singles featuring tracks from Prince's final studio albums: HITnRUN Phase I and HITnRUN Phase II (both originally released in 2015 via Tidal).

Both singles come on heavy vinyl in sturdy, carefully designed cardboard covers

Exclusively available with the respective German magazine edition (not sold separately in stores)

Singles & Tracks:

Rolling Stone Single: "Fallinlove2nite" / "Hardrock Lover" (from HITnRUN Phase I) – "Fallinlove2nite" is noted as a fan favorite.

Musikexpress Single: "Baltimore" / "Stare" (from HITnRUN Phase II) – "Baltimore" was written in response to racist police violence in the USA (inspired by the Freddie Gray case).

Context:

HITnRUN Phase I and Phase II were Prince's last studio albums (released in 2015). Phase I featured collaborations (e.g., Rita Ora, Lianne La Havas), while Phase II included political commentary.

The full albums will be reissued in 2026 (vinyl and CD), but these singles are world-exclusive to the magazines.
