Chaka Khan’s bold NPG era begins — a Prince‑powered reinvention six months after its US debut.

Come 2 My House marked Chaka Khan’s long‑awaited return to album work and her first full‑length collaboration with Prince’s NPG Records. Released in the UK on March 29 1999, six months after the US edition, the album showcased a deep creative partnership: Prince co‑wrote, co‑produced, and performed extensively across the record, while Khan contributed new lyrics and vocal arrangements. Recorded primarily at Paisley Park Studios between late 1997 and mid‑1998, the album blends funk, soul, and electronic textures with Prince’s unmistakable sonic fingerprints. The UK edition was issued on CD and MC, both carrying the same catalogue number.
