The Hornless Bourgeoisie Rebellion
Released as a 256kbps MP3 file (no label) on November 18, 2013, Prince’s “Da Bourgeoisie” was the hornless “stolen demo” version leaked via WeTransfer after a 3rdEyeGirl tweet asked: “Who wants to deliver this stolen Prince demo to the needy?” Selected responders received the file (named “01 Track1.mp3”) with instructions to share download links. Drums by Hannah Ford (uncredited). The first public version of the track — later re-released with horns on November 25, 2013 via 3rdeyetunes.com. A viral funk protest drop.
