THE STORY
Released in the United Kingdom on October 20, 1986 as the third UK single from Parade, “Anotherloverholenyohead” paired a playful, horn-driven edit from the album with the LP version of Prince’s 1979 breakthrough hit “I Wanna Be Your Lover.” This UK-exclusive configuration bridged Prince’s 1986 jazz-funk sound with his early disco-funk roots. The single peaked at No. 36 on the UK Singles Chart.
