A Glam Film Theme Stardust Sparkle

Released as a 7-inch vinyl single in the UK on November 29, 1974, on CBS Records (catalogue: S CBS 2828 / 2828), David Essex’s “Stardust” was the theme from the film Stardust (sequel to That'll Be The Day). Backed with “Miss Sweetness,” both written by David Essex and produced/arranged/orchestrated by Jeff Wayne for Jeff Wayne Music, this glam-pop anthem peaked at No. 7 on the Official Singles Chart for 10 weeks. Lacquer cut by ARUN at Aston Clinton, issued in solid centre (picture sleeve/company bag), knockout centre (picture sleeve), and international variants. A shimmering ‘70s Essex classic.
