T.Rex’s Cockpit Theatre was released as an album in the UK by Easy Action Records (catalog number EARS 031) on November 1, 2016.

The album features the original live broadcast of London Weekend Televisions

‘Music In The Round’. Shown only within the London area on

December 8th 1971. The networked version everyone is familiar with was not aired until April 1972, by which time the content had been radically altered. The original broadcast ran way over schedule, only two songs were performed, along with a longer interview between Marc and presenter Humphrey Burton, chat with the audience as well as a demonstration by Marc of his guitar effects pedals and amps.

This version has remained out of the public domain since 1971 . . .

The album itself is limited to 500 copies in semi opaque red vinyl with a matt laminate finish on the sleeve, mail order from the website you get one large repro photo and two smaller postcard types
