Slade’s "Let's Call It Quits" backed with "When the Chips Are Down", was released as a 7-inch vinyl single in the UK by Polydor Records (catalog number 2058 659) on January 30, 1976, as the second single from their sixth studio album Nobody's Fools.

Written by lead singer Noddy Holder and bassist Jim Lea, and produced by Chas Chandler, the song reached number 11 on the UK Singles Chart and remained in the top 50 for seven weeks.

"Let's Call It Quits" was released on 7" vinyl by Polydor Records across the UK, Ireland, Europe, Scandinavia, Yugoslavia, and Japan. The B-side, "When the Chips Are Down," was exclusive to the single and later appeared on the band's 2007 compilation, B-Sides
