Slade’s "We'll Bring The House Down" backed with "Hold On To Your Hats", was released as a 7-inch vinyl single in the UK by Cheapskate Records (catalog number CHS 2480) on January 23, 1981, as the lead single from their ninth studio album of the same name. The song was penned by lead singer Noddy Holder and bassist Jim Lea, and produced by Slade. It became the band's first single to enter the UK Top 40 since 1977, reaching No. 10 and staying on the chart for nine weeks.
