Lou Reed’s "Walk and Talk It" backed with "Wild Child", was released as a 7-inch vinyl single in the UK by RCA Records (catalog number RCA 2251) on August 4, 1972.

Both tracks were taken from Lou Reed's self titled debut solo album.

Album Overview:

Lou Reed was recorded at Morgan Studios in London between December 1971 and January 1972, produced by Richard Robinson and Lou Reed. It featured session musicians, including Steve Howe and Rick Wakeman from the progressive rock band Yes. The album included eight re-recorded versions of unreleased Velvet Underground songs and two new tracks, "Going Down" and "Berlin." Despite high anticipation due to growing interest in The Velvet Underground, the album was a commercial and critical disappointment, peaking at No. 189 on the Billboard 200.
