Released as a limited numbered picture disc vinyl LP in Europe on April 21, 2018, on Demon Records (catalogue: DEMREC247), Marc Bolan & T. Rex’s The Final Cuts was a Record Store Day exclusive collection of rare 1976–1977 demos and alternate takes from Bolan’s final sessions. Limited to 2000 copies. Barcode: 5014797896666. A poignant glam swan song.
Album Overview
The album "The Final Cuts" by Marc Bolan and T. Rex, released in 2018, was a special picture disc LP that marked the first time this material had been issued on vinyl. It was created from multi-track tapes returned to Bolan's son Rolan and recorded at AIR Studios, Oxford Street. This album included the final recorded studio work from the last twelve months of Marc Bolan's life, with seven of the twelve songs not released during his lifetime. The album was limited to 2,000 units worldwide and became a collector's item for serious Bolan fans.
