March 6, 1995: Purple Medley

b/w Kirk J's B Sides Remix was released in the UK as a stand-alone single by Prince, timed to coincide with his European The Ultimate Live Experience tour. It was released on the same day in Europe as The Sacrifice Of Victor and The Undertaker home videos.

It was released in the USA, the UK, and mainland Europe. The a-side, available in both edited and extended versions, and the b-side were medleys featuring clips or re-recordings of various Prince songs (refer to the song entries for more information).

The single peaked at number 84 on the US Billboard Hot 100 Chart and number 74 on the Billboard Hot R&B Singles Chart. It performed significantly better in the UK, where its release aligned with the start of The Ultimate Live Experience tour, climbing to number 33 on the Gallup Singles Chart.
