Released as a 7-inch vinyl single in the UK on January 11, 1974, on RCA Records (catalog number RCA 2394), The Sweet’s “Teenage Rampage” — backed with “Own Up, Take a Look at Yourself” — was a high-energy glam-rock stomper. Written by Nicky Chinn & Mike Chapman, produced by Phil Wainman, this teen rebellion anthem entered the Official Singles Chart on January 16, 1974, peaked at No. 2 for 3 weeks, and charted for 8 weeks. A defining Sweet hit.
