Published in the UK on December 9, 1978, New Musical Express’s full-page advert “Blondes have more fun at Boots.” launched a massive Christmas promotion: £1 off four Rod Stewart albums — including the brand-new Blondes Have More Fun — plus 50p off cassettes. With his winter UK tour and “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy?” smashing the charts, Boots turned Rod into the ultimate stocking-filler.
