Released as the lead single from the album of the same name, the track was released prior to the May 3 date for the UK.

The b-side on the physical release,' On The Couch', was also taken from the album Musicology.

The single failed to chart in the Billboard Hot 100, only reaching number 120 on the US Billboard Bubbling Under The Hot 100. It fared better in the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles Chart, where it reached number 44.

The single failed to chart in the UK, but reached top 20 positions in Norway and Italy. It also reached top 40 positions in The Netherlands, Switzerland, Australia and New Zealand.
